About D.C. for Less

Making friends with a D.C. cabbie. Finding and keeping friendly cabbie relations can make or break you in D.C. Read on.

Almost two years ago, I moved to the D.C. area. Completely unaware of just how much the jump in cost-of-living would lead to a readjustment in my lifestyle, I eventually realized it was going to be sink or swim.

In order to avoid having to sit on my sofa every night and stare at the walls, I quickly began researching cheap places to eat, socialize, be outside, learn and explore.

Almost two years later, I feel I’ve learned substantially about cost-effective ways to live in D.C., and enjoy it just the same. Hopefully I can share some of that information with you.

Feel free to drop me an email, chat or comment on ideas you might have too. I’m always up for learning more about less expensive living and fun in D.C.
